How it all began

Makenna and Justin first met in 2013

at San Diego State University through Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity. Apparently the best relationships really do start off as friendships because after about 8 months of being just friends, Makenna decided there was something more there!

On January 3rd 2014,

Justin planned a big surprise on the Redondo Beach Pier to officially ask Makenna to be his girlfriend.

The following 7 years of adventures have included graduating college,

Oh yeah, I guess they got engaged too!

On July 3rd 2021,

Makenna thought they were headed to Gas Works Park - one of their favorite spots for a gorgeous view of the Seattle skyline - so that Justin could practice using his new camera. Little did she know, he was setting up this perfect shot with a gorgeous ring in his pocket and a very big question. “Will you be my boba date for the rest of our lives?” Just kidding!
